Mission Statement:
Steen’s Dairy Limited is dedicated to delivering fresh,
quality dairy products to our customers; produce and
package our products in a clean, wholesome environment;
support our local dairy farmers with local same day
pick-up and processing; and meet the ongoing challenge
of finding new and innovative methods of production and
packaging to consistently deliver the finest dairy
products to our customers.
History:

Established by Fred Steen in June of 1944, Steen’s Dairy
Limited has grown to be one of the leading independent
dairies in Ontario.
Starting as a single man operation, Fred Steen developed
door-to-door delivery in Erin, Hillsburgh, Belfountain
and Ballinafad. Fred had purchased Maple Leaf Dairy in
Georgetown in 1960 in order to expand his delivery area,
enabling him to deliver to Inglewood, Victoria, Terra
Cotta, and to stores in Cheltenham and Caledon Village.

From
his modest beginnings in 1944, Fred has grown the dairy
to employ 25 people at the Main Street Erin location and
is seen as one of the business and community leaders in
the town.
At
startup, Steen’s produced 5000 litres per month and now
produces more than 1,000,000 litres per month.

Service Area:
Steen’s delivers our full product range throughout south
and south-central Ontario. Across the GTA, Peel and
Halton Regions, Dufferin and Wellington Counties you can
rely on Steen’s to deliver quality freshness, on
schedule.

industry associations and provides services to other
independent dairy companies.
